Royal Government Pledges Further Improvements to Health Sector

PHNOM PENH, September 17, 2024 — Prime Minister Hun Manet reaffirmed the Royal Government's commitment to enhancing the country's health sector during a groundbreaking ceremony this morning for the construction of three new buildings at Calmette Hospital, one of Cambodia's leading public hospitals.

The Prime Minister emphasized that modernizing hospital infrastructure would increase public confidence in the healthcare system. "The Royal Government is committed to continuing improvements in the health sector to better serve the people," he stated.

Hun Manet highlighted that healthcare remains a top priority for the Royal Government, which is currently focused on strengthening mechanisms to improve services across the country.

Thanks to government support, approximately 7.4 million people are now benefiting from improved healthcare services. The Prime Minister also expressed the government’s ongoing dedication to reducing healthcare costs for citizens, ensuring that quality care becomes more accessible to all.
